Consignment notes (CMR and eCMR)

How to issue with DGAssistant the consignment note of a shipment, sign it electronically and obtain its documents: the draft, the signed copy, the DeCA, the ADR document and the evidence.

Show the draft of a consignment note

The draft is the consignment note as the application has it before it is issued. It is what you review with the customer, and what you print when the note travels on paper.

  1. Open consignment notes and select the note in the list.
  2. Press Edit and go through the Data, Carriers, Goods and Conditions tabs.
  3. Go to the Issue tab and press Validate, which lists everything that is missing at once.
  4. In Other actions choose Draft PDF.

The draft carries the same content as the final note, so what you review is what will be signed.

Obtain the signed consignment note

Once the note has been issued and signed, the signed copy is the document that proves the contract and the delivery. It is the one you keep and the one you send to whoever asks for it.

  1. Open consignment notes and select the note.
  2. Press Synchronise, so that the states of the journey are up to date.
  3. Check in the Issue tab that the state is delivered.
  4. In Other actions choose Signed PDF.

While the journey is in progress the signed copy does not yet exist; what you have is the draft and the events recorded so far.

Show the administrative control document (DeCA)

In domestic carriage in Spain the note carries the data of the administrative control document with its QR code, which since 5 October 2026 has to be electronic and born digital.

  1. Check that the places of taking over and delivery are both in Spain.
  2. Open consignment notes, select the note and press Issue.
  3. Go to the Issue tab and confirm that the document appears among the attachments.
  4. In Other actions choose Administrative control document.

When the carriage contains hazardous materials, the same note serves as the ADR transport document and as the control document, so the driver carries one document and not two.

Attach the ADR transport document to the note

When the goods are dangerous, the transport document of ADR 5.4.1 travels attached to the consignment note, with the mentions that the regulation requires for the load.

  1. Open consignment notes and edit the note.
  2. Go to the Goods tab and check that the dangerous lines come from the shipment.
  3. Press Regenerate ADR if you have changed the load after issuing.
  4. In Other actions choose ADR transport document.

The attached document carries the exemption of 1.1.3.6 with the exact total of points and the most restrictive tunnel restriction code of everything carried.

Show the evidence report of a note

The evidence report gathers what happened to the note during the journey: who signed it and when, the time stamps, the changes recorded after issue and the documents that the driver added.

  1. Open consignment notes and select the note.
  2. Press Synchronise to bring in the events of the journey.
  3. Go to the Issue tab and read the list of events.
  4. In Other actions choose Evidence report.

It is the document to keep when a delivery is disputed: it says what was signed, by whom and at what time.
