The trip and its calls

Hazardous materials manifest on the IMO FAL Form 7 for a port call, created with DGAssistant

A trip in DGAssistant gathers the units that move together: the voyage of a vessel with its port calls, the journey of a vehicle and its trailer, or a flight. Each call keeps the estimated and actual times, the cut-off for hazardous materials applications and the agent in charge.

The units are loaded at one call and discharged at another, so the application knows at any moment what is on board at each point of the route. The itinerary can be typed in or imported from a spreadsheet when the shipping line sends it that way.

The manifest that the port and the master expect

Segregation report between transport units on board a vessel, with their stowage positions

The hazardous materials manifest of IMDG 5.4.3 is produced for each call and in the variant that is asked for: what is on board, what is loaded and what is discharged. It carries the vessel, the voyage, the master and the shipping agent, and it is versioned, so a second issue replaces the first one and says so.

Next to it, the segregation report between units on board shows the pairs that share a hold or a deck and the separation that the code requires for each one, with the stowage position of every unit.

Road and air, with what the driver and the crew need

Trip restriction sheet with the tunnel restriction codes of an ADR road journey

For road transport the application produces the trip restriction sheet: the most restrictive tunnel restriction code of everything loaded, the goods of high consequence and the restrictions of the ports and roads of the route. It also calculates the 1.1.3.6 threshold of the whole vehicle and, when the load allows it, issues a consolidated transport document for the vehicle and its trailer.

For air transport it produces the notification to the pilot in command of IATA DGR 9.5.1, with the position of each package and the emergency information.

The step by step is in the guide of trips.
