Consolidation: trips

The hazardous materials manifest of IMDG 5.4.3 is the IMO FAL Form 7: what hazardous materials are on board at a call, where each unit is stowed and who to call in an emergency.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport movements, and edit the voyage.
2. Check in the Data tab that the vessel, the master and the shipping agent are recorded.
3. Go to the Documents tab and choose the call and the variant: on board, loading or discharge.
4. Tick Hazardous materials manifest and press Generate.

The manifest is versioned: if the load changes, the second issue replaces the first one and says so on the document.

This report looks at the units that travel together and says which pairs may share a hold or a deck and which ones need separation, with the stowage position of each one.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport movements, and edit the voyage.
2. Go to the Segregation tab and choose the call.
3. Press Check and read the matrix of units and the findings.
4. Tick Segregation report between units and press Generate.

A unit without a stowage position appears in amber: the code cannot be applied without knowing where it goes.

The exemption report of ADR 1.1.3.6 adds the transport categories of everything loaded and says whether the journey stays below the threshold of 1 000 points, with the breakdown by category and by shipment.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport movements, and edit the road journey.
2. Go to the Threshold tab and choose the unit or the whole vehicle.
3. Press Recalculate and read the verdict and the points of each category.
4. Tick Exemption report and press Generate.

The report is only offered when the calculation is up to date: if the load changes afterwards, it has to be recalculated before issuing it.

The restriction sheet gathers what conditions the route: the most restrictive tunnel restriction code of everything loaded, the goods of high consequence and the restrictions of the ports and roads of the journey.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport movements, and edit the journey.
2. Check in the Load tab that every unit that travels is loaded.
3. Go to the Documents tab.
4. Tick Trip restriction sheet and press Generate.

If the vehicle has no maximum authorised mass recorded, the sheet warns of it instead of assuming one.

The load sheet of the trip gathers everything that travels together, grouped by shipper and with the totals of packages and masses, whatever booking each shipment comes from.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport movements, and edit the trip.
2. Check in the Data tab that the declarant of the trip is recorded, with company and name.
3. Go to the Documents tab.
4. Tick Load sheet and press Generate.

Without the declarant the document is not issued: it is the person who answers for what is declared in it.

The notification to the pilot in command of IATA DGR 9.5.1 tells the crew what hazardous materials are on board, where each package is loaded and what to do if something happens in flight.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport movements, and edit the flight.
2. Check in the On board tab that every unit and every package that travels is loaded.
3. Go to the Documents tab.
4. Tick Notification to the pilot in command and press Generate.

The notification only exists for air transport: in the other modes the application does not offer it.

The consolidated transport document gathers in a single document of ADR 5.4.1 everything that the vehicle and its trailer carry, so that the driver does not have to show one document per shipment.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport movements, and edit the road journey.
2. Go to the Threshold tab and press Recalculate, so that the mentions of 1.1.3.6 are up to date.
3. Go to the Documents tab.
4. Tick Consolidated transport document and press Generate.

The document is only for road transport, and it keeps the mentions of each shipment: limited quantities, empty packagings, technical names and tunnel restriction code.
