Consolidation: transport units and containers

The container or vehicle packing certificate of IMDG 5.4.2 declares that the unit was loaded according to the code. DGAssistant only offers it when the checks that support it are green.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport units, and edit the unit.
2. Go to the Packing certificate tab and fill in the company, the declarant with their position, the place and the date.
3. Check that every line of the list of checks is green: transport document issued, segregation checked, marking produced and packages accounted for.
4. Tick Container packing certificate and press Generate.

If a line is red the certificate is not offered, and the message says which shipment is missing.

The multimodal hazardous materials form of IMDG 5.4.5 gathers in one document the declaration of the shipper and the packing certificate of the unit, which is what the terminal usually asks for at the gate.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport units, and edit the unit.
2. Go to the Packing certificate tab and check that the certificate data are complete.
3. Tick Multimodal hazardous materials form and press Generate.

When the unit carries shipments of several shippers, the form numbers each one so that the pages are not mixed up.

The segregation report of the unit shows every pair of goods that share the container and the separation that the code requires for each one, with the verdict that results.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport units, and edit the unit.
2. Go to the Segregation tab and press Check.
3. Read the matrix and the findings: permitted, permitted with conditions or prohibited.
4. Tick Segregation report and press Generate.

If you change the content afterwards, the check is marked as out of date and has to be run again before the certificate is signed.

The checklist of the unit is what the person who closes the doors goes through before signing: the state of the container, the stowage, the securing of the load and the marks and labels that the unit has to carry.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport units, and edit the unit.
2. Go to the Packing certificate tab.
3. Tick Unit checklist, choose the language of the person who is going to sign it, and press Generate.

The list can be issued in any of the languages of the application, which is what allows it to be signed at a terminal in another country.

The labels of the unit are the placards and marks that the container or the vehicle has to show on the outside according to what it carries inside.

1. Open Consolidation and Transport units, and edit the unit.
2. Check in the Content tab that every line that travels in the unit is recorded.
3. Go to the Packing certificate tab.
4. Tick Labels and press Generate.

The application takes the labels from the goods loaded, so a change of content changes the labels and they have to be printed again.
