Importing and exporting data

Bringing your existing data in and getting reporting data out.

Can I import my contacts and products in bulk?

Yes. We provide Excel templates for contacts (shippers, consignees, carriers) and for products (your dangerous goods catalogue). Columns shown in bold are mandatory. The format must not be modified, otherwise the file will be rejected.

What's the right way to fill the products template?

Where a UN number has a single entry in the dangerous goods list, you only need to provide the UN number and packing group. Where the UN number has multiple entries (different technical names, classifications, etc.), you select the exact name from the drop-down inside the template. We always recommend testing with around 10 products before sending the full file.

What happens if my import file has errors?

All correctly formatted rows are imported, and we send you back a separate file listing the rows that failed and why. From there you can either fix them in the original template and re-import (no duplicates are created) or enter the failing items manually.

Can I get the products import template during the trial?

The contacts template is provided to trial accounts. The products template is delivered after you take out a paid license, because it contains the regulatory database (dangerous goods, packing instructions, packages). You receive it immediately after activation.

How do I export shipment data for the annual dangerous goods report?

From the left menu choose Shipments → "Shipment Analysis" (Análisis de expediciones). Filter by date and other criteria, then use "Other actions" → "Export". You can also export from the Receptions menu if you have only registered receptions of goods.
