About DGAssistant

DGAssistant is cloud software for dangerous goods documentation. Quick answers about what it is, who it is for and how it is delivered.

What is DGAssistant?

DGAssistant is a cloud-based SaaS platform for creating and managing the documentation required to transport dangerous goods. It produces shipper's declarations, transport documents, checklists, package marking and the supporting data you need for road, sea and air shipments — all from a single, regulation-aware interface that we keep up to date for you.

Which dangerous goods regulations are supported?

DGAssistant covers IATA (air), IMDG (maritime) and ADR (road) in a single application — they are not sold as separate modules, you can mix and match the regulations you license. The system handles single-mode shipments as well as multimodal scenarios such as an IATA or IMDG shipment that also has to carry the ADR information required by 1.1.4.2.1 ADR.

Is DGAssistant a cloud service or do I install it on my servers?

DGAssistant is delivered as SaaS only. We don't offer on-premises installations, mainly because keeping pace with constant regulatory changes requires a fast, controlled deployment cycle. The platform runs on Microsoft Azure with a triple-datacenter setup, dedicated monitoring and 24/7 operations. For customers with stricter requirements, we can offer an exclusive web server and database hosted by DGAssistant.

In how many languages is the application available?

The user interface and the documents we generate are available in nineteen languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Polish, Swedish, Norwegian, Czech, Danish, Greek, Hungarian, Slovak, Romanian and Finnish. The language for the documents (transport document, checklists, etc.) follows regulatory rules per shipment — for example, ADR documents in Switzerland can be issued in German, Italian or French.

Where can I see videos and examples of DGAssistant in action?

You can find walk-through videos for IATA, IMDG and ADR, plus sample reports and feature explanations, on our website at https://www.dgassistant.com/en/features/.

Who uses DGAssistant?

DGAssistant is used by manufacturers, logistics operators, freight forwarders and external safety advisers across Europe and beyond. Customers range from small consultancies to large groups in aerospace, automotive, cosmetics, tyres, electronics and industrial chemistry. We support both companies that ship dangerous goods themselves and external advisers who manage compliance for several clients.
